Irene Rencher
Services for Irene Ramona Eiqholz Rencher, 86, of 10601 Horseshoe Bend Road, Boise,
formerly of Caldwell, who died of natural causes, Friday, Nov. 26 in St. Luke’s
Hospital, will be conducted at 2 p.m., Wednesday in the 22nd Ward
Chapel of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints by Bishop Dimmon
Payne, under the direction of Relyea Funeral Chapel, Boise. Interment will be in
the Dry Creek Cemetery.
She was born March 12, 1896, in
Los Angeles. She received her schooling in
Los Angeles and was graduated from U.C.L.A. with a degree
in music. She moved to Arizona
in 1918 where she began her teaching career. She married Guy B. Rencher on June
2, 1920, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple
on Nov. 26, 1969. She taught school in New Mexico
and throughout the northwester states including Idaho
where she taught in Lowman, Payette, Caldwell,
Marsing and Boise.
She retired about 12 years ago and had lived in Boise since. She was a member of the Church of
Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in the Relief Society and taught in
many of the organizations. She also served as a Stake music director. She was a
member of the 22nd Ward at the time of her death.
She is survived by two sons, Jack P. Rencher of Boise
and Frank L. Rencher of Redmond, Ore.; one daughter, Gladys Ashton of Eagar, Ariz.;
10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call Wednesday from 1 to 2 p.m. in the Relief Society room of
the 22nd Ward Chapel,
