Margaret L. Neef

            Services for Margaret L. Neef, 69, of 3030 Bellomy Lane, who died Saturday at a Boise hospital after a long illness, will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Alden-Waggoner Chapel by the Rev. David Decker of the First Christian Church. Interment will be in Dry Creek Cemetery.

            She was born Oct. 9, 1907, in Boonville, Mo. She attended schools in Prairie Home and Boonville, Mo., and graduated from high school in Boonville. She attended Warrensburg (Mo.) State Teachers College. She taught school in Cooper County, Mo., before she married Philip F. Neef Oct. 11, 1930, in Kansas City, Mo. She taught school in Homedale in 1953. She received a bachelor of arts degree in education from the College of Idaho in 1957. She taught in Bakersfield, Calif., before coming to Boise to teach elementary schools for 14 years. She retired in 1972.

            She was a life member of the Christian Church, and taught Sunday school for many years in the Midwest and in Homedale. She served on the board of deaconesses for many years. She also was a member of the Boise Teachers Association, Idaho Teachers Association, Boise Retired Teachers Association, National Retired Teachers Association and the Boise First Christian Church.

            Surviving are her husband, Boise; two sons, Harvey L., Boise, and Theodore C., Eugene, Ore.; two daughters, Phyllis M. Davis, Trinidad, Calif., and Stella A. Katula, Meridian; and nine grandchildren.

            Pallbearers will be John Nall, Al Pantry, Lowell Applegate, Jesse Patch, Elmer Sonivile and Bill Turner.
