Olga Claybaugh

            Graveside services for Olga Wood Claybaugh, 94, Caldwell, who died Thursday, Dec. 20, in a Caldwell nursing home, will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at the Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell.

            Associate Pastor of Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church, Caldwell, the Rev. Betty Mitchell, will officiate, under the direction of Dakan Funeral Chapel, Caldwell.

            Mrs. Claybaugh was born Sept 12, 1890, at Corvallis, Ore., the daughter of Leonard and Edith Edwards Wood. She receive her education in the state of Oregon, graduating from Philomath College and Oregon State College of Education at Monmouth, Ore. She married James P. Claybaugh on Aug. 12, 1914, at Junction City, Ore. They came to Idaho in 1917 and lived in the Huston community for many years. She taught in several schools in the area and worked in the Probate Court at Caldwell for 17 years. She ended her teaching career as principal of Homedale Elementary School She was a member of the Boone Memorial Presbyterian Church, Caldwell, the Caldwell Forward Club, the Rebekah Lodge, and Eta Chapter of Alpha Nu State Delta Kappa Gamma.

            She is survived by a son, Ralph I. Claybaugh, Caldwell; a granddaughter, Peggy Larrondo of Boise, a grandson, Steve Claybaugh of Boise, and four great grandchildren, Ali Marie and Scotty Larrondo of Boise, and Amy and Jonathan Claybaugh of Boise.

            She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a grandson, James B. Claybaugh; and a brother, Ralph E. Wood of Eugene, Ore.

            Friends may call at the Dakan Funeral Chapel Sunday from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m.

            Memorials may be made to the Memorial Presbyterian church, or a favorite charity, in care of the Dakan Funeral Chapel.
