            Ernest Silveira, 78, of Modesto died Friday at Stanislaus Medical Center.

            Mr. Silveira was born in Merced. He lived in Modesto all of his life. He was a dairyman for 60 years.

            He is survived by his children, Jerri Dias of Modesto, Jeanne St. Clair of Cypress, Judy Cushman of Las Vegas and Janet Blair of Sharon, Pa.; several brothers and sisters; and 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

            A graveside service will be conducted at 1 p.m. Monday at Turlock Memorial Park, Turlock. Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m. Sunday at Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel.
