            Funeral services were conducted last Friday in Homedale for Lloyd J. Rudd, 63, who died April 1 in a Caldwell hospital. Pastor Bill Whala of the Baptist Church, Fresno, California officiated.

            Honorary bearers were Tim Volk, Doug Stowell, Bill Purdom, Steve Carson and Glenn Lillie.

            Casket bearers were Scott Kagayama, Mike Rudd, Mark Vanderhoff, Duke Jensen, John Rose and Bill Rudd. Interment was in the Homedale-Marsing cemetery.

            He was born February 6, 1922, in Torrington, Wyo., to Lloyd and Bessie Davis Rudd. He moved to Ontario, Oregon in 1933 with his parents where he attended school. He entered the U.S. Coast Guard on September 9, 1942, and was honorably discharged in 1945.

            He married Medaine V. Hardiman on May 17, 1944, in Nampa.

            The couple farmed in the Oregon Slope area before moving to Homedale in 1959. He continued farming in Homedale until the time of his death.

            He attended the Homedale Baptist Church.

            He is survived by his wife of Homedale; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Carol Rudd of British Columbia, Canada, and Lonnie and Denise Rudd of Fruitland; two daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Willis Titmus of Homedale, and Berty and Jim Corta of Middleton; his mother, Bessie Rudd of Ontario; five sisters, Maxine Denny of Miami, Okla., Ernestine Jensen and Betha Kagayama, both of Ontario, Audrey Gaylor of Buckley, Wash., and Opal Hudson of Loon Lake, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.

            His father and a sister preceded him in death.

            Memorials may be made to the Homedale Ambulance Fund.

 

Medaine V. Hardiman Rudd

            Medaine Rudd was born in 1923 and currently resides in Homedale.
