            John Rohl was born in 1924 and was last known to reside in Homedale.

      Mary Ellen Rohl

      Mary Ellen Rohl, 68 years old, passed away at her home in Homedale, April 13, 1997 after an extended battle with cancer. Graveside services will be held at Fargo Cemetery on Thursday April 17 at 11:00 a.m. Family and friends are asked to meet at the cemetery.

      She was born May 22, 1928 at Salt Lake City, Utah to Gurtrude Tucker Fryrear and Robert Fryrear the 2nd of 4 children. She was reared and educated in Redlands, California. She married John L. Rohl in Salt Lake City, on August 28, 1945. They lived in San Bernardino, California until moving to Homedale in 1963. They lived in the Homedale/Wilder area until they became Snow Birds in 1986. They spent the winters in Arizona and summers in Homedale. She really enjoyed the climate and sunshine of Arizona.

      She worked as a telephone operator in California. Upon moving to Idaho she worked at the Mobil Café. She was the manager of the new Furrow Café in Wilder until illness forced her to retire in 1979. While in Arizona she spent her spare time volunteering for the Catholic Church food for the homeless program. She loved fishing and camping. She spent many happy hours in her garden.

      She is survived by her husband John of Homedale; a daughter and son-in-law Darlene and Larry Prow of Homedale; a son and daughter-in-law, Dan and Jonna Rohl of Eagle. Five grandchildren, Deanna and Cory Leaver of Stanton, Nebraska; Barbara and Scott Biorn of Challis; Sarah and Scott Johnson of Boise; Shyanne and Jessie Rohl of Kent Washington. Five great grandchildren. Her brother Frank of Rialto, California and numerous nieces and nephews.

      She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother and sister and her oldest son Bob. Services are under the direction of Flahiff’s of Homedale.

      Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.

      Wanda Sue Rohl

      Homedale - Services for Mrs. Wanda Sue Rohl, 20, of Homedale, who died Monday night in an auto accident northeast of Homedale, will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Homedale's Flahiff Funeral Chapel by the Rev. Plaiz Johnson of the Wilder Southern Baptist Church.

      Interment will be at Wilder.

      Mrs. Rohl was born Dec. 26, 1951, in Nampa and was reared and educated in Homedale and Wilder. She married Robert Rohl July 26, 1971, in Caldwell. She since had lived in the Wilder-Homedale area.

      Surviving in addition to Mr. Rohl are a daughter, Sarah, at home; her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hershel Johnson of Homedale; seven brothers, Junior Ray, in Hawaii, LeRoy, of Pasco, Wash., Jerry, Everett and Donnie, of Caldwell, Danny Joe of Fort Lewis, Wash., and David of Homedale; four sisters, Mrs. Ann Rutledge, Mrs. Leta Martinez, and Mrs. Linda Stansell, all of Homedale, and Mrs. Lena Tucker, Caldwell; and her grandmother, Mrs. Florence Johnson, Sanger, Calif.
