            Boyd E. Jemmett

            Jan. 19, 1922 – Jan. 10, 2006

Time has run out for the clock man.

Boyd was born in Shelley to Fred and Anna Christensen Jemmett. He graduated from Madison High School in Rexburg in 1940 and then moved to western Idaho. He married Bonnie Knight in Parma, June 13, 1943. During WWII he served as an Army Air Corps chief engineer aboard C46 and C47 cargo planes.

Boyd, Bonnie, and their five children lived and worked in Caldwell from 1946-57, and then the family moved to Homedale, where Boyd owned a farm implement business. They moved to Salt Lake City in 1970, and Boyd worked for Hesston Corp. until his retirement in 1979.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brothers Dale and Blaine, and sister Norma.

He is survived by his loving, devoted wife of 62 years; his children and their spouses, Judie Jemmett, Doralee Bean (Larry), Claire Fernandez (Chuck), Daryl Jemmett (Sybil), and Wes Jemmett (Stephanie); 11 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, his brother Grant and sister Shirley; and many extended family members and friends.

The family wants to extend its sincere thanks to Harmony Hospice, especially to our angel Rose Murray for the wonderful care given during the last month.

Memorial services are scheduled for noon Saturday, Jan. 21, at Wasatch Presbyterian Church, 1616 S. 17 E., Salt Lake City.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Boyd’s name to Utah Lions Eye Bank, 50 N. Medical Dr., SLC, UT 84132, or Wasatch Presbyterian Church Building Fund.
