            Keith E. Holbrook

            Keith E. Holbrook, 82, of Nampa, passed away July 5, 2005 at a Boise hospital of natural causes. Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, July 8, at the Wilder Cemetery. Friends may call at Dakan Funeral Chapel in Caldwell from 3 to 7 p.m. today.

            Keith was born in Burley on April 8, 1923 to Edford and Maude ‘Bammie’ Holbrook. He grew up in Burley and in 1941 joined the U.S. Navy and served until 1946 when he was honorably discharged. He began a career with Amalgamated Sugar Co. as an electrician in 1946 and retired in 1982. He married Juanita Poindexter at Rupert on June 28, 1945, and three children were born to them, Gerry, Bob and Diane.

            Keith is survived by his wife, Juanita of Nampa; two sons and their wives, Gerry and Peggy of Rupert, and Bob and Diana of Nampa; a daughter and so-in-law, Diane and John Ford of Council, two brothers, Jack Holbrook of Cosmopolis, Wash., and Jim Holbrook of Twin Falls. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother and a sister.

            In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the St. Alphonsus Dialysis Unit in Nampa or to a favorite charity.

 

Juanita Poindexter Holbrook

            Juanita Holbrook was born in 1921 and is currently residing in Nampa.
