            Don Carver

            Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Roswell cemetery for Don Carver, 60, who died at his Arena Valley home on June 2. Cameron Gepner, an elder of Jehovah's Witnesses, officiated.

            Honorary bearers were George Roland, Jim Baysinger, Walter Grooms, Dave Marsh, Tom Case and Gorman McQueen.

            He was born March 21, 1924, at Verdigre, Neb. He moved with his family to Wilder at the age of seven. He attended school in Wilder. He entered the U.S. Army in May, 1942, and served in the European Theater. He was honorably discharged in December, 1945.

            He married Kathryn Aten of Arena Valley on Sept. 13, 1946. They lived in the Wilder area and moved to Homedale in 1955, where they engaged in the trucking business until 1973. At this time they moved back to Arena Valley to farm.

            He was a long-time member of the Owyhee Wrangler Riding Club of Homedale.

            He is survived by his wife; a son, Donald of Lewiston; his mother, Viola Carver of Wilder; five brothers, Alvin of Boise, Bill and Raymond of Caldwell, Ron of Parma and Rick of Portland, Ore.; four sisters, Elsie Robey of Parma, Imogene Schimmels of Chicago, Ill., Betty Johnson of Moses Lake, Wash., and Barbara Marchant of Nampa; four grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.

            He was preceded in death b his father; a son, Danny in 1965, and a brother, Bob in 1961.
