            Angel Bicandi

            Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. today (Wednesday) at St. Hubert's Catholic Church, Homedale for Angel Bicandi, 69, with the Rev. Jesus Camacho pastor of St. Hubert's Church, as celebrant. Interment will follow in Homedale-Marsing cemetery.

            Rosary was recited at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Homedale with Rev. Camacho officiating. Mr. Bicandi died May 20 in Caldwell Care Center following a brief illness.

            He was born Nov. 13, 1919 in Boise, a son of Ciriaco and Marta Cruz Aguirre Bicandi. He was reared and educated in Nampa. Following completion of his schooling, he went into the sheep business.

            He joined the U.S. Navy in 1940 and was a survivor of Pearl Harbor.

            He married Ann Frances Mell on Oct. 5, 1943 in San Francisco, Calif.

            The couple moved to Homedale upon completion of his military service.

            He was a prominent Homedale area farmer for more than 40 years. His wife, Ann, died in 1970.

            He married Patricia Cook on Nov. 23, 1973 in Reno, Nev. The couple made their home in Homedale.

            He was a member of American Legion Post 32, Homedale; BPOE No. 1448, Caldwell; and Survivors of Pearl Harbor.

            He is survived by his wife Patricia of Homedale; a son, Antone 'Skip' Bicandi in Nevada; a stepson, John Cook of Kennewick, Wash.; a stepdaughter., Cathy Anderson of McCall; two brothers, John of Winnemucca, Nev., and Lucas of Caldwell, two sisters, Marie Badiola of Caldwell, and Pilar Bates of Ontario, five grandchildren, Aaron and Tony Bicandi, Randy and Brian Gray, C.J. Anderson, numerous nieces and nephews.

            In addition to his wife, Ann, he was preceded in death by a sister, Connie Franks, and two nieces.

            Memorials are suggested to Idaho Youth Ranch, Boise.

            Mrs. Ann Bicandi Succumbs

            Requiem mass was read at 11 a.m., Wednesday at St. Hubert’s for Mrs. Ann F. Bicandi, 50, Rt. 1, Homedale, who died Sunday morning, Jan. 4, at the Caldwell hospital following an extended illness.

            The Rev. Fr. Francis A. Peterson, pastor, was celebrant. Rosary was recited at 8 p.m. Tuesday, at Homedale's Flahiff Chapel. Interment was at Homedale-Marsing Cemetery.

            She was born June 19, 1919, at Ferndale, Calif., where she was reared and attended school and graduated from the Ferndale High School in May, 1937.
